Band Fundraising
Band Fundraising — Zero Fees, More Music
New instruments. Uniforms. Band camp. Competition travel. Your music program needs money, and your students are tired of selling cookie dough. PledgeAthon turns practice, performances, and marching into fundraisers — with zero platform fees.
Why it works for bands and music programs
Forget candy bars, wrapping paper, and coupon books. Your musicians didn't join band to sell stuff door-to-door. They joined to play. PledgeAthon turns rehearsals and performances into fundraisers.
Rock Band / Pep Band
Rock-a-Thon
Students perform songs in a marathon jam session while donors pledge per song or per hour. A 4-hour rock-a-thon with 20 donors at $5/song and 12 songs performed raises $1,200 per musician. Pack the gym, stream it live, and watch the donations roll in.
Any Music Program
Practice-a-Thon
Donors pledge per hour of practice over a week or month. A student practicing 2 hours a day for 5 days with 15 donors at $3/hour raises $450. It rewards the kids who actually put in the work — and parents love that the fundraiser builds discipline.
Dance Team / Color Guard
Dance-a-Thon
Donors pledge per dance or per hour on the floor. Run it as a 3-hour marathon with breaks between sets. A dancer with 20 supporters at $2/dance who performs 15 routines raises $600. Great for homecoming week or spring showcase season.
Any Band or Orchestra
Move-a-Thon
Donors pledge per mile walked, run, or marched. Perfect for band programs because your students are already used to moving in formation. A section of 12 kids each walking 5 miles with $2/mile pledges from 15 donors raises $1,800 for the section alone.
Concert Band / Orchestra / Choir
Concert Fundraiser
Perform your spring or holiday concert and collect donations at the door — or let supporters pledge per piece performed. No ticket price, no guilt. Just a QR code on the program that takes 10 seconds to scan. Audiences already want to give; make it easy.
Marching Band
March-a-Thon
Donors pledge per lap, per mile, or per hour of marching. Run it during a regular rehearsal — your band is already on the field. A 200-member marching band where each kid averages $40 in pledges raises $8,000 from a single practice.
Your band boosters deserve better than wrapping paper sales
You spend weeks organizing fundraisers that net $1,200 after splitting profits with a vendor. Meanwhile, your program needs $8,000 for new marching uniforms and $4,000 for band camp deposits.
With PledgeAthon, 100% of every donation goes to your program. No vendor cuts. No inventory to manage. No kids going door-to-door with catalogs. Set up a practice-a-thon on Monday, have students sharing links by Tuesday, and deposit the first donations by Wednesday.
Bands raise $40-$70 per member on average. A 100-member program can clear $5,000+ from a single event.
Built for music program fundraising
Every feature your band program needs to raise more money with less work.
Personal Donation Pages
Every band member gets their own page with a unique link. They text it to grandparents, post it on social media, and share it at football games. Family and friends donate in under 30 seconds.
QR Codes for Concerts & Events
Print QR codes on concert programs, stick them on the band trailer, or display them on the jumbotron. Anyone can scan and donate instantly — no app download, no account required.
Per-Activity Tracking
Log songs performed, hours practiced, miles marched, or any other activity. Per-activity pledges calculate automatically so you never have to chase math on a spreadsheet.
Zero Platform Fees + TipShare
Every dollar goes to your music program. Zero platform fees on all donations. Plus, we share 10% of optional donor tips back with your organization through TipShare. The only cost is standard Stripe processing (2.9% + $0.30).
Live Leaderboards
Section leaders, drum majors, and band directors can see who is raising the most in real time. Post the leaderboard in the band room — friendly competition drives results.
60-Second Setup
Upload your roster via CSV, pick your donation type, and share. No training required. If your band booster president can send a group text, they can run this.

Frequently asked questions
What types of music programs work with PledgeAthon?
All of them. Marching band, concert band, jazz band, orchestra, choir, pep band, drumline, color guard, dance team. If your students perform, practice, or march, you can build a fundraiser around it.
How much can a band program realistically raise?
Most bands raise $40-$70 per member. A 100-member marching band averaging $55 per student raises $5,500 from a single event. Larger programs with active parent boosters often hit $8,000-$15,000. The key is getting every member to share their link — leaderboards help with that.
What are the fees?
Zero platform fees. The only cost is standard Stripe processing: 2.9% + $0.30 per card transaction. On a $25 donation, that's $1.03 — your program keeps $23.97. Cash and check donations have no fees at all.
Can we use this for instrument or uniform fundraising?
Yes. You don't have to run a per-activity event. Set up a flat donation campaign for new instruments, uniforms, band camp travel, or competition fees. Same zero-fee platform, same shareable links and leaderboards.
How do payouts work?
Connect your bank account through Stripe (one-time, takes 2 minutes). After that, donations deposit within 1 business day. No waiting until the campaign ends — money flows as it comes in.
Can individual sections run their own fundraisers?
Yes. You can create separate campaigns for drumline, color guard, jazz band, or any section. Each gets its own leaderboard and donation tracking. Or run one big campaign for the whole program — your call.
